Blue Ridge Conservation is a partnership of Hillside
Garden Club and the Lynchburg Garden Club. Both clubs are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and members of the Garden Club of Virginia.

We exist to achieve our mission and the ideals of the Garden Club of Virginia. We are actively pursuing conservation initiatives in Lynchburg and the surrounding counties. Nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which offer stunning beauty and access to nature including streams, lakes, rivers, forests and charming towns, this area, often called the Heart of Virginia, can boast of numerous species of native plants, wildlife and natural settings for enjoyment. Yet, there are issues that are found here, just as they are found elsewhere, that call for attention and action. These issues are why we created Blue Ridge Conservation. We will actively pursue an agenda that promotes the quality of life in the Heart of Virginia. We will work with decision-makers at the local and state level and mobilize citizens to take effective action on crucial issues. The vitality of this region is directly tied to the health of our environment.
