Heidi James was a founding member of Blue Ridge Conservation and now serves as Chairman of the Garden Club of Virginia (GCV) Horticulture Committee (2020-2022). She received the GCV de Lacy Gray Award for Conservation in 2017 and initiated the GCV Pollinator Protection Resolution in 2019. Working with Blue Ridge Conservation, Heidi was instrumental in helping Lynchburg become a Bee City in 2019 and is co-director of the Lynchburg Bee City Working Committee.
